Burgher Progressive Youth Club Fashion Show

The Burgher Progressive Youth Club held its inaugural Beauty and Talent Competition at the Eastern Peace and Justice Centre (EPJC) in Eastern Kingston. The event was a part of the outreach component of the club’s action plan developed earlier this year with the assistance of YCWJ. There were 17 contestants – 11 females and 6 males – from various communities and districts in and around Mountain View and Rockfort, all vying for the crown and a range of sectional prizes. The idea to include other communities coincides with the vision of the youth club; that of sustaining the peace efforts through increased cooperation between and among the neighbouring communities. The winners were Elaine Ellis and Everton Pasley.
