Michael Chapman is the Headmaster of the prestigious St.Gilgen International School in Austria. He is entering his twenty-first year of school leadership, having been designated as a ‘National Leader of Education’ in the UK in 2008. This is the highest accolade for school leaders and is reserved for those with a proven track record of outstanding learner achievement, success and innovation over an extended period. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a university Honorary Research Fellow and his career has included a major national role leading the professional team implementing a flagship government policy in the UK on performance management. When not working he is an adventure motorcyclist, having ridden extensively in some of the wildest places in the world.
